Bijal’s Flare characteristics: Innovation and collaboration

With a passion for translational research and operations, Bijal supports Flare’s translational and pre-clinical efforts through alliance and operations management. She is a scientific partner to Flare’s IT and Bioinformatics teams, helping to identify and implement appropriate data analytics solutions.

Bijal has worked in translational and clinical research, with a focus in biomarker identification and characterization in immune and circulating tumor cells from patient samples. After switching gears to Operations, she led the build-out of a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary Translational Medicine laboratory, established patient sample processing and immunophenotyping SOPs, as well as spearheaded the development of a LIMS environment.

Outside of work, Bijal enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, hiking, and traveling. She also loves to cook and explore new restaurants.
