Gregg’s Flare characteristics: Openness to challenging assumptions. Working with highly energized collaborative teams.
Gregg brings more than 15 years of experience using biochemistry, biophysics, and protein science to help teams discover, validate, and optimize small molecules for both oncology and infectious diseases. He has contributed to several challenging oncology drug discovery efforts targeting chromatin remodelers, metabolic enzymes, and other “undruggable” proteins from early strategy development through later stage optimization.
Gregg loves working with collaborative, innovative, and curious scientists to tackle difficult targets and brings this perspective to the Flare team, taking on drugging transcription factors.
He spends his time away from Flare with his family, helping coach the sports teams of his three children and playing music with them as they learn instruments, as well as visiting Cape Cod every summer and skiing as a family.
The hope that this class of proteins can be drugged for patients who need more therapeutic options.
I was impressed by this team's fearlessness in tackling this challenging class of targets and was excited to be a part of the scrum.
